アイデア ： 2035年。場所は地球の支配する月。これが月のレポートです…。

作品 ： これは、この展示のためのアートを作成するための新しいアプローチです…コンセプトから始まります。
過去1年間は、作品の作成を困難にする複雑な問題でいっぱいでした。
その結果、新しい作品の多くを刺激するコラボレーションが生まれました。
私たちはこのプロジェクトをBrontosaurus Hexと名付けました。
この展示の作品は、新潟市での私の冒険といくつかのコラボレーション作品に関するものです。
印刷物、ビデオ、彫刻は、最初のアイデアから作られています。アイデアは、10年後の支配する月にあるラジオ局です。
この作品は、「月のレポート」と呼ばれる地元のラジオ番組に基づいています。
奇妙な音楽、文化交流、酸素実験、重力テストは、探求されたアイデアの一部です。
この作品は、日常生活で見過ごされているパターンの可能性を探求しています。
音、ビデオ、印刷物のレイヤーをシフトすることで、探索と体験のための新しい可能性が開かれます。
この作品は、SF、デヴィッド・リンチ、ダダ、シチュアショナリズム、
新潟のコミュニティ、マックス・ヘッドルームなどから影響を受けています。ぜひお楽しみください。

The Idea: The year is 2035. The location is the sovereign Moon of Earth. These are the Lunar Reports….
The Work: This is a new approach to creating the art for this exhibit… starting with a concept.
The past year has been full of complications that made creation of work difficult.
This resulted in a collaboration which sparked much of the new work. We named this project Brontosaurus Hex.
The work in this exhibit is about my adventures in the city of Niigata and some of the collaborative work.
The printed work, videos and sculptures are made from a starting idea: The idea is a radio station on a sovereign moon ten years into the future.
The work is based on local radio programming called : “The Lunar Reports”.
Weird Music, cultural exchange, oxygen experiments and gravity testing are some of the ideas explored.
This work explores the potential of the overlooked patterns in everyday life.
By shifting the layers of the sound, video and printed work: new possibilities are opened to explore and experience.
This work is influenced by: science fiction, David Lynch, Dada, Situationalism, the community of Niigata, and Max Headroom to name a few.

<略歴>

アメリカ・オハイオ州生まれ。1995年モントセラトカレッジ・オブ・アート卒業。
1998年ボストン美術館大学で修士取得。2011年以降パブリックアートプロジェクト。
ブルーカラーの両親のもとで培われた価値観や倫理観を版画、ビデオ、サウンドなどのアート作品に取り込んで制作発表。
